SALVATION IS BY GOD’S GRACE
Salvation is a free gift. It cannot be received in any other way. It is the favor of God upon sinners, and all sinners are undeserving. Indeed, all sinners deserve hell. God steps into man’s world and provides redemption through the sacrifice of His own Son. ...
GOD’S WISDOM IN HIS PLAN OF SALVATION
By Lloyd Streeter Grudem correctly and insightfully states that “what we now think of as the ‘simple’ gospel message, understandable even to the very young, reflects an amazing plan of God, which in its depths of wisdom surpasses anything man could ever have...
HIGH TIME
By Lloyd L. Streeter “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.” Romans 13:11 We are dealing, in the last paragraph of Romans 13, with an intensely practical portion of...
GOD CAN ANSWER ANY PRAYER
Lloyd L. Streeter The promise of Jesus about prayer is found in Matthew 21:21-22: “Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this...

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT HOMOSEXUALITY?
By Lloyd L. Streeter There is no excuse for a Christian being hateful or mean to homosexuals or anyone else. We can hold to the Bible’s teaching on the subject and be unbending in our convictions without being unkind in word or deed. That said, there is no sense in...
THE BLOOD OF CHRIST IS A SYNECDOCHE: IT IS NOT A METAPHOR
By Lloyd Streeter It has become trendy in some theological circles to say that when the Bible mentions the blood of Christ in many verses, it is really only a metaphor for Christ’s death. We are told that the word blood in Acts 20:28; Romans 3:25; Romans 5:9;...
