Verses 6-7 “6Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?
7But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.”Little birds were sold to be sacrificed in the temple ceremonies, and Jesus uses this as an illustration of God’s care for us.

When we see the sparrows and chickadees feeding outside our window, and we realize that God has provided for all the little birds in the world, it is an amazing thought. Jesus said that if He cared for the little birds, He must care much more for us. God invites you to cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you (I Pet 5:6-7).
