Verses 37-40 “37And it came to pass, that on the next day, when they were come down from the hill, much people met him.
38And, behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only child.
39And, lo, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out; and it teareth him that he foameth again, and bruising him hardly departeth from him.
40And I besought thy disciples to cast him out; and they could not.”
It is wonderful to be on a mountain top and to experience the glory and close fellowship of God, but when we come down, we must meet the people who have needs, and we must face the reality of life as it is, and we must do what we can to meet the needs of people. Jesus disciples were unprepared to help one who needed their help, and we wonder if their minds were still on the mountain top and if they were too heavenly minded to be any earthly good.
