Verse 31 “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.”
Here is a clear and certain promise of God that the words of God recorded in the Bible will be preserved forever. Not the essence of the words only; not the ideas only; not the thoughts only; not the concepts only; but, the very words of God are preserved. We have the words of God today! None of His words have been lost from the text. Thank the Lord! And our King James Bible is a good and accurate translation of the words contained in the original autographs. When Jesus said “My words,” He did not mean His spoken word only, for all of the words of the Bible from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21 are His words. All of the Bible is preserved by God. You can rest your soul upon God’s words for time and eternity.
