Matthew 25:41 “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:”
Hell, the place of eternal punishment, was not prepared for men. Originally, Hell was prepared for the Devil and his wicked, fallen angels. However, people who reject Christ and His saving grace will end up in Hell for eternity. The punishment of Hell will be everlasting (see verse 46, “everlasting punishment“). The modern day delusion of universal salvation, even though taught by some who claim to be evangelicals, simply does not comport with the Bible’s very clear teachings. Unsaved people can not go to Heaven, and they would not be happy in Heaven if they did go there.
