Matthew 24:27-30 “For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”

Jesus will come personally to this earth to establish His kingdom. When He begins His Second Coming, it will happen quickly, like lightning. There will be no time, then, for the unsaved to get right with God before their judgment comes. The unsaved will mourn when every eye shall see Him, but the saved shall rejoice at the sight of their Deliverer (Revelation 19:7). It will be a terrible and dark day after the Tribulation, and the Powers of Heaven shall be shaken, which means that the devil and his angels will know that their conqueror has come. The kings of the earth will also know that the King of Kings has come and that they must give up their power to Him and be judged like all common people, for “the Lamb shall overcome them (Revelation 17:14). What a great and glorious day it will be when Jesus comes to rule and reign on this earth!
