Matthew 24:29-31 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”

The days at the end of the Tribulation will be the time of the greatest trouble of the entire seven years. Without the intervention of the Lord Jesus, the Jewish people would be completely destroyed (v.22). When Jesus comes at the Revelation, the saved Jewish mortals living on the earth will be miraculously gathered up and transported to Jerusalem to be with Jesus. Often, Bible readers confuse this event with the Rapture of the Church; however, the Rapture of the Church will have occurred before the Tribulation began. The Rapture is not mentioned in Matthew 24 or 25. All of these events are controlled by our omnipotent God.
