The Olivet Discourse does not tell us about the Rapture. The Rapture is not specifically mentioned in chapters 24 or 25. It is the Revelation of Christ which is dealt with here. Some of the events preceding the Revelation of Christ are (1) a worldwide preaching of the gospel, with millions and millions of people converted to the Lord. (2) The abomination of desolation will occur when the Antichrist will profane the temple at Jerusalem, as prophesied in II Thessalonians 2:4. And (3) there will be the flight of the Jews who are resident in Palestine when the whole world, under Antichrist’s leadership, will come against Israel militarily. These events will all take place during the Tribulation and before the Revelation of Jesus in this world.Nothing must take place before the Rapture occurs. Jesus could come at any time. His coming for His Church is imminent. Jesus said, “I will come again” (John 14:3).
Matthew 24:14-22 “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand.) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.“
