Matthew 19:12 “For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.”
The verse is about celibacy. Generally celibacy is not better than marriage, but some people should remain single and celibate because it is better for the Cause of Christ. Some are excluded from marriage for natural causes. Some men are excluded from marriage through surgery or the violence of others. Some remain single to make them better able to serve the Lord in some difficult situation. Some should not marry a second time after a first marriage ends, and some should not marry even once. It is not easy to remain single. It is not for everyone! But it is a sacrifice that some should make.
