Mark 1:2-3 “As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.”
The Old Testament quotations in these verses are partly from Malachi and partly from Isaiah; and therefore, the KJV is correct when it says, “It is written in the prophets.” Some new versions carelessly and inaccurately attribute both quotations to Isaiah. We can trust our King James Bible because it was very carefully translated, and because God’s words have been accurately preserved in it.
