Verses 6and 8 “6And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar…
8And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.”

The blood of the sacrifices was a type of Jesus’ blood which was to be shed on Calvary. The blood was sprinkled on the people to show them that no one can be clean before God unless he has Jesus’ blood upon his soul. No one could be saved except for the shedding of blood in our Savior’s death. His bleeding was the giving of His life (Rom. 3:25; Eph.1:7; Heb. 9:22; Rev. 7:14).
