Verse 4 “And the name of the other was Eliezer; for the God of my father, said he, was mine help, and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh.”
Eliezer’s name means “My God Is Help.” This shows that Moses was looking to God for deliverance and not to himself. The sinner must look only to Christ if he would be saved. Furthermore, the Christian must look only to Christ for his sanctification and deliverance out of this world.
