Matthew 1:21 “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.”
In Hebrew, His name is Yeshua. In Greek it is lêsous. And in Latin and English, it is Jesus. Those who insist that we English speaking people must call Him by a Hebrew or Greek name are simply wrong, and are delving into “foolish and unlearned questions” which “do gender strifes” and God tells us to “avoid profane and vain babblings” (see I Timothy 6:20 and II Timothy 2:23).
