Verses 15-17–” 15And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do.
16And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.
17And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs.”
God often gives us some company to encourage us and to help give us boldness along the pathway of duty. He sent out some of his disciples “two by two” (Mark 6:7), usually He gives a mate to be a help for His servant (Gen. 2:18), and He gave Moses an Aaron. The best companion of all is the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the God Head. He is the best companion because He comforts us, empowers us, teaches us, guides us, gives us peace and assurance, and gives to us all the gifts we need to do God’s work in this world. The Holy Spirit is given to us by the Lord Jesus, and He will never leave us no matter what we do or don’t do.
